The Jordan DMSN 95 stopped me mid-scroll on TikTok because its thumbnail looked suspiciously close to an Air Jordan 11 IE Low. That connection isn’t imagined. Nike says the new lifestyle sneaker is inspired by Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan 11, my personal favorite and one of the most celebrated designs in Jordan history. Priced well below retro territory, the DMSN 95 offers that lineage without trying to recreate the icon.

Three Jordan DMSN 95 Colorways Are Available Now
Black/Dark Smoke Grey

Nike h/t Shoe Sagas
The black pair is the easiest everyday option. Its tonal palette lets the layered upper and AJ11 influence come through without making the sneaker feel like a retro basketball shoe.
University Red/Black/Anthracite/Tour Yellow

Nike h/t Shoe Sagas
This is the loud one. University Red leads the look, while black, Anthracite and Tour Yellow give it a sportier finish and plenty of Jordan energy.
Phantom/Palomino/University Red

Nike h/t Shoe Sagas
This is the pair I ordered. Phantom and Palomino give the DMSN 95 a softer, casual look, while University Red keeps a recognizable Jordan accent in the mix.
Why Does the Jordan DMSN 95 Matter?
Not every guy wants to wear Michael Jordan’s signature retros every day. That’s where Jordan Brand’s lifestyle and hybrid models make sense. I’ve worn the Jordan Max Aura and Jordan 6 Rings, and both showed me that the brand’s design language and quality can extend beyond MJ’s numbered signature line.
The AJ11 is serious territory for inspiration. Jordan wore Hatfield’s design during his return to basketball and throughout the Bulls’ historic 72-win 1995-96 championship season. Giving that DNA a more casual platform makes the DMSN 95 worth watching.
Should You Buy the Jordan DMSN 95?
On paper, yes, especially if you want Jordan DNA without wearing another retro. The low-cut build, leather upper, Air-Sole unit and Cushlon 3.0 point toward everyday comfort rather than hardwood nostalgia.
I’ve ordered the Palomino pair, but I’m waiting to judge the materials and on-foot quality until it arrives. If it delivers, University Red is next. At $135, the DMSN 95 could be a smooth casual switch-up that pushes the Air Jordan 11’s influence forward instead of simply copying it.
