With a name like Angel Reese, it only seems fitting that the all-star WNBA player will become the first professional athlete to don Victoria's Secret's iconic wings. The Sky star announced Thursday that she is the newest Victoria's Secret angel, set to walk the lingerie brand's 2025 runway show in mid-October.
In a sneak-peek photo carousel posted to Instagram, Reese shared that she's "stepping into a dream" of becoming a Victoria's Secret Angel. "It feels like destiny," she wrote in her caption.
Reese Has Previous Fashion Experience
A star basketball player first and foremost, this won't be Reese's first foray into the fashion world. She previously partnered with Reebok to create a line of women's athletic wear and basketball sneakers.
She'll be trading the sneakers for heels at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, though. She will join previously announced models Stella Maxwell, Candice Swanepoel, Alex Consani, Adriana Lima, Yumi Nu, and Joan Smalls.
This will be the second consecutive Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in recent years, as the brand took a hiatus from 2019 to 2023 due to low ratings. Since returning in 2024, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has evolved to include celebrities and musical guests not typically involved in the fashion world. This year, KAROL G, Madison Beer, Missy Elliott, and TWICE are set to perform.
