If Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are meant to stay together forever, Kelce's father Ed seemingly approves.
We've seen plenty of Kelce and Swift on television and social media since the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and "Fortnight" singer went public with their relationship in September 2023. But Ed Kelce knows Swift in a different light, having seen the pop megastar up close and personal countless times.
Ed, 74, doesn't give too many public interviews, but he did speak with the Daily Mail while attending the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Calif. earlier this month. His sons Travis and Jason were participating in the annual event.
During his interview with the Daily Mail, Ed spoke glowingly of Swift, saying it "borders on the surreal" to be in her orbit and calling her "very special.
“She is a very special person. One of the most giving and caring people I've ever met," Ed said.
This isn't the first time Mr. Kelce has heaped praise on Travis' famous partner. Back in 2023, he called Swift "very genuine" after spending time with her in a suite at a Chiefs game.
“I’ll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her,” Ed Kelce told PEOPLE. “We're sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can.”
Travis and Taylor were spotted out a few times this offseason, but now it's back to business for the former as he tries to chase another Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs.
“It gets thrown out there as it's like we're trying to seek attention, every now and then,” Travis said of his love life earlier this month. “But it's like, we're just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games. Kind of introducing her to some more of the sports world.
“We’re having fun with it, man, being a couple."
