Dog The Bounty Hunter's stepson, Gregory Zecca, accidentally shot and killed his 13-year-old son Anthony on July 19. The shooting occurred at the Naples Manor apartment complex in Naples, Florida.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office responded to the call around 8 p.m. on Saturday evening and later confirmed that the boy had died from a single gunshot wound. Gregory Zecca, his 38-year-old father, was reportedly visibly distraught when police found them inside the apartment.

First responders conducted brief emergency treatment on the child before he was announced dead on the scene. No arrests have currently been made, with police calling the shooting an "isolated incident." Early evidence, according to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, points to an accidental discharge of the gun that killed Anthony.

Dog The Bounty Hunter -- real name, Duane Chapman -- told TMZ through a representative, "We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony." The July 19 shooting is still under investigation by the local sheriff's department, though it is unclear if any formal charges will be placed.

Gregory Zecca is the son of Dog's wife, Francie Chapman. Dog and Francie got married in 2021, bonding through their shared grief after both of their previous spouses had passed away. The two apparently work together on Duane's bounty hunting team, according to TMZ. The reality TV star, of course, first gained fame through the long-running show Dog The Bounty Hunter.
