Julie Chen shared photos from the Big Brother Season 27 house shortly after the theme was revealed by CBS. The longtime TV host posted two photos to Instagram on July 2 to tease the mystery hotel theme that could play out like a game of Clue.
In the first photo, Moonves, 55, posed in a library with an oversized magnifying glass to her eye. A second snap featured her signing a guest book for Hotel Mystère. “Who’s checking in? 🔍👀 #BB27” came the caption.
Further teasing a Clue-like tie-in, a post of the BB27 house on the official Big Brother Instagram account declared, “It was Julie Chen Moonves, in the Diary room, with the Power of Veto! 🫢"
Fans reacted to the Season 27 theme in the comment section.
"So many CLUES! one fan wrote.
“Oh boy this feels like Tower of Terror😮😮,” added another.
“Wow I have never been this gagged by a house before this is TRULY the best house y’all have ever done shout-out to the designers,” another commenter wrote.
“JULIE FEED US MORE CRUMBS,” a fourth viewer begged.
In June, Moonves posted to Instagram with her first big Season 27 teaser. The CBS host was photographed seated in front of a wall of keys.
A network teaser posted by The Wrap on July 2 described Season 27’s Hotel Mystère as “a place where secrets lurk behind every door and nothing is as it seems.”
Dubbed “Big Brother: A Summer of Mystery,” the hotel-like house includes a reception area, rooftop garden kitchen, Victorian conservatory, poison bar/lounge, a boxing ring gym, and at least one bedroom in the attic. The reception area in the Season 27 house will also include drawers with 75 key boxes.
None of the Big Brother houseguests have been revealed yet, but that announcement will be coming soon. “We have the house, now we just need the guests 👀,” Moonves wrote on Instagram.
Big Brother Season 27 premieres Thursday, July 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
