With nearly uncountable different Star Wars TV shows and possible movies looming on the horizon, it's easy to get apathetic about the future of the galaxy far, far away. That is, until now. After a lot of speculation, the first trailer for Andor Season 2 has finally dropped, and it's nothing short of incredible.
Even if the actual episodes don't live up to the hype, this new trailer is the best new Star Wars release in years and will get the blood pumping of any fan who is hoping to feel the Force like the good old days.
First Andor Season 2 Trailer
The new trailer is set to the 2004 Steve Earle rock track "The Revolution Starts Now," and makes it very clear that if you thought Andor Season 1 kicked ass back in 2022, Season 2 will be even bigger. We've got Cassian (Diego Luna) looking confident and full of space spy swagger, we've got people stealing TIE Fighters and blowing things up, and even Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) seemingly at some kind of dance rave.
Ben Mendelsohn has also returned to the Star Wars franchise, reprising his role as Krennic from Rogue One, the 2016 film that also introduced Cassian Andor to the Star Wars mythos. Unlike Season 1, Andor Season 2 is set to span the entirety of the four years leading up to Rogue One and the first classic Star Wars film, A New Hope.
This makes Andor the Star Wars prequel to end all Star Wars prequels, and if the trailer is any evidence, the Force is very much with this show.
Andor Season 2 hits Disney+ on April 22. It will release three episodes each week for a total of four weeks and 12 episodes in all.
