House of the Dragon was the biggest show of this summer. While it can be a controversial adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the production values and overall storytelling are still very high quality. HBO puts a lot of effort into the Game of Thrones franchise, and this spinoff is no different.
As the third season came to an explosive climax, it’s left fans wondering when the final act will begin and what they can expect. This is everything we know so far about House of the Dragon season 4.
What will House of the Dragon season 4 be about?
House of the Dragon season 4 will conclude the Targaryen civil war, the Dance of the Dragons, with more brutal action and plenty of character drama. Series showrunner Ryan Condal talked about the implications of the series’ final episodes.
“As crazy and big as season 3 was, I think Season 4 is going to be even bigger. It’s a great privilege to be able to tell a story, and to be able to control and write the ending, and to control when and where that happens. This is not a given in making television, certainly. We’re very excited to get back in. We have new characters, and new dragons and new locations all to come, that I think are gonna make it a very worthy final season.”
