The U.S. government has released a trove of never-before-seen UFO files, and one video - that shows a strange "8-pointed star" shape - is getting attention.
The unusual object was captured making unusual movements. However, people on Reddit wrote that the information on the "chandelier UFO" was released before, although what it was is far from clear. The video was recorded in the Middle East in 2013 and is listed as "unresolved."
The United States Central Command "submitted a report of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) consisting of one minute and 46 seconds of video footage from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in 2013. The reporter did not provide any oral or written description of the observation," the Department of War wrote with that video's release. Here is a screenshot photo from the video.

In one of the videos released by the U.S. Department of Defense as part of its UFO files disclosure, a star-shaped object can be seen moving erratically across the sky in sharp zigzags.

The U.S. government released the following timeline with the video:
00:10: "The sensor field-of-view narrows to zoom in on the area of contrast."
00:11-00:29: "The area of contrast moves within the sensor field-of-view, followed by a visible trail."
00:30: "The area of contrast leaves the sensor field-of-view at the bottom right of the screen."
00:35-01:44: "Following an apparent cut, the area of contrast generally remains within the sensor field-of-view before exiting the frame from the top left quarter of the screen."
This video description "is provided for informational purposes only. Readers should not interpret any part of this description as reflecting an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual determination regarding the described event’s validity, nature, or significance," the government wrote.
"Redactions have been made to protect the identity of eyewitnesses, the location of government facilities, or potentially sensitive information about military sites not related to UAP."
A 'UFO Journalist' Released a Photo of the 'Chandelier' UFO Several Years Ago
Sure enough, in 2024, NewsNation reported that UFO journalist Jeremy Corbell had "released a photo of what he is calling a 'chandelier' UAP spotted over the Persian Gulf." However, NewsNation wrote then that it had not independently verified the photos; the government just did that by releasing the video of the object.
“I hope the full video of the chandelier UAP does come out,” Corbell said then. According to NewsNation, the video was "shot by a military thermographic/forward-looking infrared camera."
Reddit users offered theories. "Reminds me of that structure at the end of Interstellar lol," joked one. "It's just a glare from some heat source. No idea what the heat source is though," wrote another person.
"Everything is a shadow of a 4th dimensional object, when you look in the mirror you’re looking at the 3rd dimension shadow of your 4th dimensional self. Nothing solely exists in one plane,": added another Reddit user.
