Some passengers who scheduled Carnival Cruises for 2027 are getting bad news.
The popular cruise line has cancelled multiple cruises, although the reason isn't clear. That follows a string of spring 2026 cancellations.
The Carnival Cruise Ship Line Is Cancelling 5 Sailings of the Carnival Breeze, Reports Say
According to Travel and Tour World, Carnival is cancelling "five 2027 sailings of the Carnival Breeze."
The Carnival Breeze "sails year-round from Galveston, Texas."
The reason for the cancellations was not given. However, the Hindustan Times reported that the affected dates are:
January 11, 2027
March 5, 2027
March 13, 2027
March 18, 2027
March 22, 2027
According to Travel and Tour World, though, cruise cancellations are "often driven by a combination of operational, logistical, and scheduling factors."
Among them: "major refurbishments, shifts in demand for particular routes, or updates to the cruise schedule to better align with global travel trends," the site reported.
Passengers will be able to rebook the cruises, Travel and Tour World reported.
Cruise ship cancellations can occur suddenly. The cruise line previously cancelled a Carnival Liberty cruise "at the last minute due to a shipyard workers’ strike in Cadiz, Spain," according to Come Cruise With Me.
However, Fans of Carnival Cruises Will Have Some New Options in 2027
Despite the cruises being cancelled, fans of the cruise ship line will have some new options in 2027.
"Carnival Cruise Line announced new itineraries today that include a special visit to Acapulco, Mexico, which will mark a significant milestone as the cruise line’s first stop in the legendary destination in more than 15 years," according to a July 2025 news release.
"The announcement is a truly noteworthy element of a slate of new sailings Carnival opened for sale today, as it continues extending its cruise schedule from spring 2027 into 2028," Carnival wrote.
Carnival also announced, "As it extends its cruise schedule into 2027/28, Carnival Cruise Line today announced new sailings for Carnival Panorama that continue the ship’s year-round deployment from Long Beach, California, to the Mexican Riviera’s most popular ports."
