Actor Kelly Paniagua told Good Morning America following her husband Julian McMahon's death that his greatest wish was to bring joy to as many people as he could.

"Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible," Paniagua, who married McMahon in 2014, said.

She also said she and her family would like time to grieve in privacy after McMahon died of cancer at age 56 in Clearwater, FL, but encouraged others to find joy in the Australian-American actor's life for his memory's sake.

"With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer," she said.

McMahon passed away July 2, 2025 after a roughly five decade-long acting career that saw him rise to fame in notable roles such as Dr. Christian Troy in the medial drama Nip/Tuck, Cole Turner in supernatural drama Charmed, Dr. Doom in the superhero series Fantastic Four and Jess LaCroix in CBS' crime drama FBI: Most Wanted.

McMahon and his daughter shared one last heartwarming exchange on her Instagram page after she posted to announce the first yoga class she taught.

"Your awesome!" he wrote.

"No YOU'RE awesome!" she replied.

Julian McMahon also ended up playing the role of Australian prime minster in Netflix's The Residence.
