Pat Sajak's co-hosting gig on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has come to an end after his last episode with Vanna White aired on June 10.

The official word from ABC is that Ryan Seacrest, who replaced Sajak in the syndicated version of Wheel Of Fortune for Season 42, will be taking over next season. Still, Sajak's last words in his final episode confused viewers.

"See you next time for more Celebrity Wheel of Fortune," he said.

That choice of words had some fans hopeful that they would see more of Sajak behind the wheel, but the truth is, it will be Seacrest with White next season. On May 13, ABC confirmed the news in a press release that Seacrest will make his debut as the co-host of the spinoff when it switches to Friday nights next season.

The switch of hosts has been a successful one for the network and for White. In addition to the surge in ratings, the TV personality told Men's Journal in April, "Obviously, it's a huge transition after working with someone for 41 years and someone new steps in, but the first thing Ryan said to me was, 'I am not replacing Pat Sajak. No one can ever replace him. I'm just stepping in.' So that kind of says it all."

The only advice she offered her new co-host was fairly simple and it sounds like Seacrest took it to heart.

She told him, "Be yourself."

Seacrest also shared how much he loved stepping into the legendary game show and filling the big shoes of Sajak.

"Let me be honest," he told ABC7 on June 3. "There was a tremendous amount of pressure that I felt coming into this. It’s been built with Pat and Vanna for so many years, I just wanted people to feel comfortable and watch, and if we got a few more along the way then bonus round, right? I’m thrilled that the loyal audience has accepted what we get to do together.”
