Back in 1996, Demi Moore was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood. Since then, her career didn't exactly end, but it's safe to say Moore is currently in a renaissance. Thanks to her Oscar-nominated turn in the blistering 2024 film The Substance, Moore is back on top and winning the awards she was, arguably, owed several decades ago.
But just how much is Moore worth? How did she make her fortune? And how much of it did she get from Bruce Willis?
Here's Demi Moore's net worth and overall fortune as of 2025. Plus, her rollercoaster of a career that got her there.

As of March 2025, Demi Moore's net worth is $200 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. This comes primarily from her massive roles in films. However, in 1998, she did receive $90 million dollars in a divorce settlement from her ex-husband Bruce Willis.
Moore and Willis were legally married from 1987 to 2000. She later married Ashton Kutcher, in 2005. The couple later divorced in 2013. Neither she nor Kutcher paid any settlement money.
Despite her divorce from Willis, Moore maintains a positive relationship with her ex-husband. She has been a staunch supporter of Willis during his very public struggle with dementia.

Moore's acting career began inauspiciously. In 1981 she starred in the little-known film Choices, followed by the horror film Parasite 3D in 1982. In 2019, she told James Corden that she considered Parasite her "worst" film, and was very "happy" to trash the film. But, by 1985, she had her breakout role in as Julianna in the hit film St. Elmo's Fire. Moore later recalled her experience on that film fondly, saying that director Joel Schumacher "stuck his neck out for me because it's not like I had any box office draw."
Along with actors Robert Downey Jr., Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Anthony Michael Hall, she was labeled a member of "The Brat Pack," a group of young actors who tended to appear in youth-oriented movies of the 1980s. But, by the 90s, Moore moved way beyond that youthful image into more complex roles.
From the immortal 1990 film Ghost to 1the 992 classic A Few Good Men, to the 1994 drama Disclosure, Moore was one of the biggest names in Hollywood in the 90s. In 1996, she made history by becoming the highest-paid actress for one film ever, receiving $12.5 for the 1996 film Striptease. In it, Moore played a down-on-her-luck FBI agent who becomes a stripper to raise enough money to get custody of her daughter. Both then and now, the film was poorly reviewed and currently holds a 13 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
After the 1990s, Moore's prominence in Hollywood slowed down, even though she made memorable turns in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle in 2003, and starred in the groundbreaking film Margin Call in 2011.
But, from 2019 until now has truly been the comeback of Moore. Her memoir Inside Out was a bestseller just six years ago, and today, the acclaim she's receiving for the sci-fi/horror/satire film The Substance is off the charts. Moore has already won a Golden Globe for The Substance and it seems future acclaim is a no-brainer.
While her career has been a bit of a rollercoaster, Moore's past achievements and recent comebacks prove that betting against her would never be a smart idea.
