Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Charles Snowden has been arrested for driving under the influence, making him the latest player for the team to be taken in for the same charge.

According to KLAS, the 27-year-old was arrested Dec. 10 and booked into county jail before being released in the early morning hours on Tuesday. Police responded to the scene after receiving reports about a "suspicious vehicle" on the road. As of Dec. 11, he was not required to appear in court after his arrest and has no arraignment scheduled, nor was an attorney listed to represented him. A status check was scheduled for April.

In a statement, the team acknowledged the arrest and declined to elaborate any further. "The Raiders are aware of the incident involving Charles Snowden and have been in contact with the NFL and local authorities," the organization said, per ESPN. "The club will not comment further as this is a legal matter."

Snowden isn't the only Raiders player in recent years to get in trouble behind the wheel. Back in 2021, former wide receiver Henry Ruggs killed a 23-year-old while driving his Corvette drunk at nearly 160 miles per hour, according to The Las Vegas Review-Journal. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and is now in a transitional housing facility. Earlier this year, Raiders defensive end Janarius Robinson was arrested on suspicion of DUI; he ended up pleading no contest to a reckless driving charge in October. In July, former Raiders safety Roderic Teamer similarly pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge after a highway patrol officer pulled him over for speeding and was "overwhelmed" by the smell of marijuana

The Las Vegas Raiders are set to face off against the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 16.
